Thousands descended on the parking lot of Prospera Place, turned into an outdoor venue for a three-night music festival, for opening night of the inaugural Rock The Lake event in downtown Kelowna.
Opening acts for the festival were Kick Ax, Prism and Loverboy, as patrons braved the heat reflecting off the parking lot blacktop to hear music from bands who celebrated their heydays in the 1970s and ’80s.
On stage tonight will be Jerry Doucette, Lee Aaron, Harlequin and Streeheart, with the festival closing out Sunday with Nick Gilder & Sweeey Todd, Headpins and Trooper.
