The doors reopened at Kwah Hall in Fort St. James.
There were many oohs and awws heard as people entered the newly renovated building in anticipation.
The popular hall and meeting spot for members of Nak’azdli Band had undergone extensive renovations and on Nov. 3, the doors reopened.
With a newly renovated modern kitchen, washrooms and flooring, the auditorium received a massive transition with new flooring, walls, stage and sound system.
The upstairs floor was also revamped including offices and classrooms.
The celebration lasted all day and was filled with fun for all including bouncy castles, cotton candy and popcorn for the little ones.
The Didoh Ne Drummers from Fort St. James welcomed everyone with a powerful performance.
Once the cake was cut, everyone joined in celebration with a dance in celebration of a new gathering place at Chief Kwah Memorial.
