A Nanaimo taxi driver reported items stolen from his vehicle when it was parked for a short time in front of his home.
The theft happened Nov. 5 at about 5 a.m. in the 400 block of Bruce Avenue, according to Nanaimo RCMP.
“The driver told police nature called and while he was momentarily predisposed in his home, an unknown male went into his cab and stole his brand new Samsung Galaxy cell phone and Captain America wallet,” notes an unsolved crimes report provided by police.
The suspect is believed to have escaped on a bicycle, but no description of the bike or suspect was provided.
