Nanaimo man wanted on 10 outstanding warrants

RCMP ask for public's help in locating man facing drug trafficking charges

The Nanaimo RCMP are asking for the public’s help to find a man who has 10 outstanding warrants for his arrest.

According to a Nanaimo RCMP press release, 26-year-old Shai Ilan failed to appear in provincial court in Nanaimo on Oct. 2 and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Investigators believe Ilan is actively evading police and his current whereabouts are unknown.

The warrants for Ilan include two for trafficking heroin and fentanyl, four for possession for purpose of trafficking heroin, fentanyl, methamphetamine and cocaine and four for breaching the terms of his release conditions.

According to the release, the drug charges and subsequent breaches stem from numerous interactions and investigations with Ilan, which took place in 2019 and 2020.

Ilan is 5-foot-11, 180 pounds.
