Nanaimo RCMP looking for chainsaw’s rightful owner

Chainsaw and brush cutter found on Meredith Road on April 17 and police suspect they were stolen

Nanaimo RCMP seek the owners of landscaping equipment found Tuesday, April 17.

According to a press release, a brush cutter and chainsaw were found in a parking lot in the 2000 block of Meredith Road, near Bowen Road, in Nanaimo.

Police have been unable to ascertain where the items came from, but suspect they were stolen and dumped at the parking lot to be picked up later. Model and serial numbers were obtained for the two items, along with some identifiable markings that should be known to the rightful owners.

Anyone who knows who the items belong to, or where they originated from, is asked to call the Nanaimo RCMP’s non-emergency line at 250-754-2345.
