Police in Nanaimo are asking the public to help identify a motorcycle found earlier this week and to be on the lookout for a recently stolen E-bike.
According to a Nanaimo RCMP press release, a black Honda PGM F1 motorcycle was recovered on a trail in the area of Ninth Street on July 13. The key was still in the ignition, which appears to have been tampered with. The vehicle identification number had also been tampered with and because of that the owner could not be located, the press release said, and the motorcycle has not yet been reported stolen.
In addition, between July 11 and 13, an E-bike was stolen from a residence on Railway Avenue, say police. The bike is a men’s CCM Dimmer Hardtail mountain bike, with 27.5-inch rims, a black frame, blue decals and an added electrical package allowing it to convert into an E-bike.
No serial number was available, according to police.
Anyone with information on either incident is asked to call Nanaimo RCMP’s non-emergency line at 250-754-2345, quoting file numbers 2021-25865 and 2021-25901.
