Napper nabbed by Kelowna police

Alleged thief too sleepy to make a get-away from Kelowna RCMP.

One man is in custody facing potential charges after police found him napping behind the wheel of a stolen vehicle early Friday morning.

Officers found a man fast asleep inside the red Saturn Ion which they confirmed had been allegedly stolen out of Lake Country on June 6.

The man was identified and found to be wanted on two unrelated warrants for his arrest.

The 25-year old Kelowna man, spent the rest of his night sleeping in cells. He is expected to appear in court June 10 facing potential charges of possession of property obtained by crime.
