The Oak Bay-Gordon Head NDP Constituency Association invites the public to its open nomination meeting Sunday for acclaimed candidate Bryce Casavant.

The Feb. 5 special event will confirm the candidates for multiple ridings and will also include a rally-style presentation by provincial NDP leader John Horgan, organizers say.

The event is in the main hall of the Saanich Fairgrounds, 1528 Stellys Cross Rd. Doors open at 1:30 p.m.

Casavant, a former conservation officer, announced in a Jan. 11 event at the Oaks on Oak Bay Avenue that he was seeking the provincial NDP nomination for Oak Bay-Gordon Head.

Casavant joins B.C. Green Party leader and current MLA Andrew Weaver and Liberal candidate Alex Dutton in seeking the Oak Bay-Gordon Head seat in the coming provincial election.
