Three Nanaimo District Secondary School student teams will be at this week’s Nanaimo Astronomy Society meeting to present their experiment projects for an upcoming mission aboard the International Space Station.
The three teams are finalists for the Student Spaceflight Experiments Program. Their project proposals are currently being reviewed by NASA scientists and engineers, who will choose one project for a mission to the International Space Station in the spring of 2018.
The students will present their work at the astronomy society meeting at Beban Park social centre Thursday, Nov. 23, at 7 p.m.
