The Town of Qualicum Beach will be hosting a public information meeting regarding the proposed fire hall at the upcoming regular council meeting.

The council meeting starts at 7 p.m. on Monday, April 22 at the Qualicum Beach Civic Centre, 747 Jones Street.

According to a news release from the town, the public information meeting will include a presentation on the proposed fire hall by the architecture firm, Johnston Davidson Architecture and Planning Inc. The presentation will focus on the space needs and site development options for the proposed fire hall. The public will then have an opportunity to ask questions following the presentation and to view the presentation boards denoting site analysis, site studies and options, according to the release.

“As a major project proposed for the community, we want to update residents on where we currently are in planning for a new fire hall,” said the town’s Director of Engineering Bob Weir. “Staff and presenters will provide information about the preferred site and field questions from residents.”                                                       — NEWS Staff
