B.C Tree Fruits has opened its new fruit market in Kelowna’s North End.
The new market, on Vaughn Avenue in the North End, replaces the old BC Tree Fruits shop that was located on its former property across the street.
That property was sold to a developer who plans to build a large downtown farmers’ market complex.
The new market carries fruit from the organization’s 500 grower members who are located throughout the valley from Osoyoos to Salmon Arm.
The market is open during the week and on Saturdays and carries a wide variety of Okanagan fruit.
It is housed in a building that will also become home to a new cider-making plant next door. The cidery is slated to open in 2015.
