Ray LeMoigne, Superintendent of Schools for School District No. 91 Nechako Lakes, has announced that Darlene Turner has accepted its offer to become the next Secretary-Treasurer of the school district.
Turner is a Certified Management Accountant, and brings significant knowledge and experience from her work in both the public and private sectors. She has been with the Ministry of Forests for the past 10 years, where she has served most recently as the Business Manager of the BC Timber Sales Division.
Turner says she is, “really looking forward to working with the Board of Education and everyone on the team at School District 91.”
Turner will join Laurie Keehn, both in the capacity of Assistant Secretary – Treasurers, through until July 31 of this year as she transitions to the education sector. Turner will assume full responsibility as the Secretary -Treasurer on August 1, 2011. During the transition period LeMoigne will continue to assume responsibilities as Acting Secretary – Treasurer.
