A new traffic signal and two pedestrian crosswalks will be installed at the intersection of Comox Rd. and Queneesh Rd. by mid-December, Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure Todd Stone announced Saturday.

The new signal will help drivers safely exit Queneesh Rd. onto Comox Rd., and the crosswalks will provide a safer crossing for pedestrians and cyclists.

The new crosswalks will have countdown timers and improved lighting. The signal will be vehicle activated at Queenesh Rd. or pedestrian and cyclist activated at the crosswalks. When the project is finished, the existing crosswalk east of Queneesh Rd. will be removed.
