A new web camera on Highway 3 and Keremeos Bypass Road is now live on the Province’s DriveBC website, providing real-time coverage of highway conditions in the area and helping motorists plan a safe journey. The camera was placed in the area because Keremeos is located at the confluence of two major mountain valleys and is subject to some unique weather conditions. This camera will assist motorists who are planning travel in the Similkameen Valley, particularly those who will be travelling in the Keremeos area.
This new webcam brings the total number of cameras on Highway 3 to 14.
There are now 200 web cameras on the DriveBC website.
“The holiday season usually means long-distance driving, sometimes in challenging winter conditions. These webcams are an invaluable resource for trip planning to ensure that families and friends arrive safe,” said Boundary-Similkameen MLA John Slater.
