Chipping away at Kimberley’s infrastructure deficit

The City of Kimberley is making progress into its infrastructure deficit in hopes of reducing property taxes. WildSafeBC on what to do if you find a fawn

WildSafeBC is reminding people that if they see a fawn, it should be left alone. Fawning season occurs from May to early July. If a fawn is removed from their bedding area, its chance of survival is greatly reduced. Be cautious if you come across a fawn, as you might be between a mother and her baby, and always keep dogs on a leash as does may see them as predators.

2018 Mosquito Control Program underway

The City’s Mosquito Control Program is currently underway, with helicopters dropping larvicide at targeted sites. The larvicide is not harmful to other insects, animals, or humans. The City is also asking residents to remove sources of standing water from their yards such as clogged gutters and ditches, trays under flower pots, unmaintained pools or ponds, tarps, canoes, stored tires, and any other sources.
