The FVRD Area C director will be Alec Niemi.
Niemi ran against incumbent Wendy Bales in the election on Nov. 15. A report released by the FVRD at 10:30 p.m. that evening named Niemi as the new director. He earned 167 votes to Bales’ 138.
Area C comprises Hemlock Valley, Harrison Mills, Lake Errock, and Morris Valley.
The new FVRD board will be inaugurated on Dec. 17.
