Nisga’a Lisims Government (NLG) leadership is calling on its citizens to report the perpetrators of a vandalism crime to the Lisims Nass Valley RCMP, following an incident at an oolichan camp located at Red Bluff last week.

The NLG issued a statement on Tuesday (April 27), in which it stated that they do not condone acts of vandalism.

“This act is a very intolerable and serious offence, ” said President Eva Clayton.

“We can all appreciate the personal investment by the camp operator and such a heinous act should not be tolerated anywhere within Nisga’a traditional lands,” said Clayton.

Vandalism acts may also be reported to the NLG department of compliance and enforcement at 250 975 1936.
