Agassiz-Harrison closed out one of its lowest COVID-19 transmission periods of the year with zero new cases as of the beginning of July.
According to the latest data from the B.C. Centre for Disease Control (BCCDC), Agassiz-Harrison had a total of 11 cases of COVID-19 from June to July, only slightly higher than May’s total of eight. There were zero new cases between June 27 and July 3.
The most recent outbreak – eight total COVID-19 cases at Glenwood Care Centre – was declared over on July 2; there have been no further outbreaks or exposure events in Agassiz-Harrison.

As of July 5, 73 per cent of Agassiz-Harrison residents over the age of 12 have been vaccinated (up 1 per cent from last update). 75 per cent of of those over the age of 18 have received at least one dose (up 1 per cent from last update).
The 18-49 age group, though still lagging behind other demographics, is up to 60 per cent vaccination (up 2 per cent from last update). 84 per cent of Agassiz-Harrison residents aged 50 and older have been vaccinated (no change from last update).

From Jan. 2020 up to the end of June, there have been a total of 263 cases of COVID-19 in Agassiz-Harrison.
