No one was hurt Monday afternoon when a school bus in Williams Lake ended up part way in the ditch alongside Highway 20, east of Westridge Drive.

School District 27 transportation manager Tony Poole said the bus was three quarters full with students from Chilcotin Road elementary being transported home.

“Apparently he went past his stop and decided to turn around and go back, which he should never have done,” Poole said. “The shoulder is very soft.”

All of the students were immediately transferred to another school bus, Poole said.
