The City of Abbotsford is advising residents that the recycling program’s blue bags containing wrapping paper will not be collected.
Christmas wrapping paper cannot be recycled due to low-quality paper and the number of contaminants.
The city suggest that when wrapping presents, consider alternatives such as reusable gift bags, tins, shopping bags or newspapers instead.
