North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP have arrested two men and allegedly seized a “sizeable” quantity of illegal drugs, including suspected Fentanyl, paraphernalia as well as weapons from a Duncan home.
Police executed a search warrant on Rockridge Road on Saturday where the items were seized along with what appeared to be instruments used for the purpose of trafficking.
“This represents a significant seizure of illicit drugs from our community,” said Staff Sgt Kurt Bosnell, in charge of the General Investigation Section. “With the presence of Fentanyl, the North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP treated this as high risk and immediately sought the assistance of the RCMP’s Clandestine Laboratory Enforcement and Response Team to assist with the seizure.”
Two Duncan men were taken into custody and more details will be released in the coming weeks as part of the ongoing investigation, RCMP said.
The public is not believed to be at risk related to this matter.
