The break-ins around the North Okanagan continue.
Vernon-North Okanagan RCMP continue to investigate break-ins to homes and businesses, even though arrests have been made in several instances.
“We haven’t seen a reduction in the numbers (of break-ins),” said RCMP Const. Jocelyn Noseworthy. “They seem fairly consistent. We seem to catch one person and another one starts up.”
On Sunday, a shop on a residential property in the 7500 block of L&A Road in the BX was broken into overnight.
Among the items stolen was a compound bow.
”That’s very concerning to us,” said Noseworthy.
Also stolen were a snowmobile backpack, two sets of avalanche probes, a shovel, two transponder beacons, Oakley ski goggles, a hockey bag, shotgun shells and the keys to a snowmobile.
