It’s here! The MSC manufactured steel building that will be the North Thompson Agriplex arrived in Barriere last week.
“This is really a great moment,” said NT Fall Fair and Rodeo rep Jill Hayward, “We are seeing our vision of a 30,000 square foot multi use building become a reality. It can’t get much more exciting than that.”
The North Thompson Agriplex is being built through the support of community and surrounding area donations, and accessed government grants. Hayward says the push is on now to raise the balance of the funding needed to finish phase one of the project – erection of the building in time for the 2011 fall fair.
“We have received so much support from area individuals, businesses, and contractors,” said Hayward, “We have even received donations and support from businesses and folks in Kamloops. People believe in the benefits of this building and the legacy it is bringing to the Valley.”
The North Thompson Fall Fair and Rodeo Association are still actively fundraising to complete this project. If you are interested in making a donation please contact Ian Mitchell at 250-672-9309, or Karl Rainer at 250-672-9407.
