Lacking solid leads on an April 25 break-and-enter at the Parksville and Qualicum District SPCA building, Oceanside RCMP is asking the public for assistance in the case.

The break-in occurred at 4:30 a.m. on April 25, when an unknown suspect broke into the SPCA building located on Alberni Highway, near Errington Road, police said. The suspect used a large rock to smash through the glass at the front door. Once inside, the suspect rummaged through drawers and desks and proceeded to steal a small quantity of cash.

Although staff were alarmed by the incident, thankfully no animals were harmed during this Break and Enter, the RCMP added in a news release.

Oceanside RCMP are looking to the public for help. If you have any information on this break and entry, please contact Constable Moxey at 250-248-6111 or report anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
