The Terrace RCMP responded to approximately 88 calls for service from November 19th, 8 AM till November 23rd, 8 AM. During the same time period 26 people were lodged in Terrace Cells. 11 of these people were lodged for intoxication.
Here are some of the calls responded to:
- Domestic assault. A woman suffered minor injuries. A 27 year old man was arrested. Charges are being forwarded to Crown Counsel.
- Intoxicated man falling down in behind the Skeena Mall. Police observed a man matching the description weaving in and out of traffic on the Sande Overpass. Checks determined that he was in breach of undertaking condition of not to consume alcohol. The 40 year old man was arrested. Charges are being forwarded to Crown Counsel.
- An unresponsive man behind the Inn of the West. Checks determined that the man was in breach of undertaking condition of not to consume alcohol. There was also a warrant for his arrest. The 20 year old man was arrested and is held for court.
- People fighting on Molitor St. A man punched another man in the face. Police arrested a 23 year old man. Charges are being forwarded to Crown Counsel.
- Break and enter to a business on Greig Ave. A window was smashed to gain entry. Two women ages 18 and 20 were arrested.
- A 23 year old man was apprehended under the Mental Health Act and transported to Mills Memorial Hospital. A woman punched the arresting officer in the face while he was apprehending the man. The 20 year old woman was arrested. An amount of drugs were seized from her person. Charges are being forwarded to Crown Counsel.
- Theft from a white 2007 Pontiac G6 parked on the 4700 block of Straume Ave during the night of November 19/20. A wallet was stolen and found a short distance away missing identification.
- Theft from a white 2006 Dodge Ram parked on the 4800 block of Olson Ave. A unique Cutco fixed blade knife with a brown marble handle and leather case was stolen.
- A group of people hanging out in the ATM lobby of Scotiabank. Police spoke with the group. A 16 year old girl began swearing and yelling racists comments at the police officer. Police arrested the 16 year old girl. A 14 year old girl jumped in and pushed the police officer to prevent the arrest. She was also arrested. In the ensuing struggle both girls fled from police.
- A group of people loitering and drinking alcohol at a business on Emerson St. Police spoke with the group. A man began to shout at police and refused to cooperate. The intoxicated 39 year old man was arrested.
- Domestic dispute. A man spat at a woman twice. Police arrested a 39 year old man. Charges are being forwarded to Crown Counsel.
- Break and enter to a business on Lakelse Ave during the night of November 20th just before 10 PM.
- A moose was struck by a vehicle on Hwy 16 west of Terrace at the 95 km marker.
- Abandoned 911 call. Police located an intoxicated man hiding under a bed suffering from minor injuries. Checks determined that the man was in breach of three probation conditions. The 28 year old man was arrested. He was uncooperative and belligerent. He is held for court.
- Familial dispute. The interior of a residence was destroyed. Police arrested a youth. He was highly agitated and injured himself by smashing his head in the police vehicle. Police transported the youth to Mills Memorial Hospital for treatment of the self-inflicted injury. The damage to the residence remains under investigation.
- Familial dispute. A woman fled her house when her two intoxicated sons were becoming confrontational. Police arrested one of the adult men. While securing him in the police vehicle the other adult man attempted to intervene. He was also arrested.
- A white 2014 Toyota Corolla crashed into the front lawn of a residence on the 5200 block of Mountain Vista Rd. The driver fled the scene but was located a few houses away. He was intoxicated.
- BC Ambulance requested police assistance with an intoxicated patient. Checks determined that the man was in breach of no consume alcohol condition of an Undertaking. The 27 year old man was arrested. Charges are being forwarded to Crown Counsel.
