Okanagan RV show in the market for volunteers

The BC Interior RV Show is seeking volunteers to hel with the April event

One of the premier RV shows is looking for a few good men and women—quite a few.

The BC Interior RV Show, April 5 to 7, needs volunteers who have “fantastic customer service skills, love to volunteer and support your community” to help out with this year’s event.

“The non-profit BC Interior RV society could not host a show of this size without the amazing support of its volunteers. Do you love RV’s? The RV lifestyle? Are looking for a fun social event to be part of? Or just the idea of exploring the open road travelling in a luxurious, modern RV? Then you should volunteer for this community event,” reads the release from the organizers.

The show fills 80,000 square feet in the Penticton Trade and Convention Centre, Okanagan Hockey School arena and the South Okanagan Events Centre and parking lot.

Over 30 vendors of RVs, products and services, along with workshops and educational sessions are planned.

The show needs hosts to sell and attach wristbands at the two main entrances and assist in directing visitors to between the trade and convention centre and the SOEC.

The shifts are four hours long and include a $5 concession coupon and a weekend wristband for the show.

Wristbands for the general public are $5 and are sold on-site only. Net proceeds from the sales will go to the Salvation Army Community Food Bank.
