A man has been taken to West Coast General Hospital in Port Alberni by ambulance after rolling his car into a ditch along Pacific Rim Highway west of the city, Wednesday afternoon (April 18). He was the lone occupant in the vehicle.
The accident stopped traffic on the narrow, winding two-lane highway for about half an hour as emergency crews attended to the man. He was conscious but put into a C-spine collar and assisted onto a gurney as a precaution.
