One person is in custody after a teenaged boy was stabbed on Queens Road in Duncan on Wednesday evening.
“The investigation is in the very early stages,” North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP Cpl. Krista Hobday said. “One male is currently in custody to go before a judge [Thursday morning]. The suspect and victim do know each other. The victim did not suffer serious injury.”
Police were unable to confirm reports that the stabbing occurred when a group of teens between the ages of 14 and 17, armed with a baseball bat, went to confront a resident of a house on Queens Road, and he pulled a knife.
