One injured in Chilliwack shed fire

Officials investigating cause of fire on Coote Street

A small fire that erupted on Coote Street Monday night is being investigated by Chilliwack Fire Department officials.

It was called in at about 5:15 p.m. in the 9200-block of Coote St.

Fire crews from Halls 1, 4 and 6 responded, and upon arrival discovered smoke and flames coming from a small workshop in the backyard.

They were able to quickly knock down the flames, and fire damage was limited to the workshop and its contents.

There were no firefighter injuries, however one person sustained injury and was transported to hospital.

The cause of this fire is under investigation by Chilliwack Fire officials.
