It’s time again for Chilliwack to weigh in on the length of spring break.
The school district has put out an online survey inviting all parents, students, grandparents, teachers, staff and community members to take part. Those taking the survey can identify themselves as more than one, for example, a staff member and also a grandparent.
The survey was opened Nov. 24 and will close at midnight on Dec. 6. It is in regards to the 2021/2022 calendar.
The main difference between the two calendar options are the length of spring break. In option one, the one-week break would run from March 21 to 25, 2022.
In option two, the two week break would run from March 21 to April 1, 2022. Both calendars include six non-instructional days and one administration day.
The instructional time provided by each calendar is the same, by adjusting the lengths of the days.
Both calendars are viewable online at the Chilliwack School District website, www.sd33.bc.ca.
