Penticton’s newest airline is getting ready for its first flight to the city.
Pacific Coastal Airlines’ inaugural flight between Vancouver International Airport (YVR) and Penticton Airport (YYF) is scheduled to land Monday, Jan. 11 at 11:30 a.m.
This will be the first flight operated following the recent announcement of new flight service between Vancouver and Penticton.
Following news that the Air Canada would be suspending service to Penticton indefinitely effective Jan. 11, Pacific Coastal announced they would be stepping in to fill the void.
Pacific Coastal Airlines is a privately owned British Columbia based regional airline operating from Vancouver International Airport’s South Terminal (YVR) that currently flies to 17 airports in British Columbia.
Connecting to additional destinations along the south coast of British Columbia through its affiliate airline Wilderness Seaplanes, located in Port Hardy on northern Vancouver Island.
Pacific Coastal is also the operator of WestJet Link, providing service from its base in Calgary to Cranbrook, Lethbridge, Lloydminster, and Medicine Hat.
Introductory fares for the Penticton/Vancouver route are now on sale for $150 for one-way ticket and can be booked at pacificcoastal.com.
