The 92nd Williams Lake Stampede is just around the corner.
From city staff watering the flowers and trimming the grass to volunteers taking part in work bees every Monday night at the Stampede Grounds and local artist Dwayne Davis dressing up business windows, everyone’s getting ready to host the biggest event of the year.
Family Day and opening day of the first Williams Lake Stampede rodeo performance is Friday, June 29.
There will be two rodeos on Friday; the first at 12:45 p.m. and the second at 6:45 p.m.
For the Friday evening performance everyone is encouraged to wear red to honour the Canadian Military.
Friday evening will also see the crowning of the new Stampede Queen and Princess as well as the Grand Entry of the Xeni Gwet’in Youth Wagon Trip.
