Reach a Reader
Through the help of PAL I am achieving my goals.
All my life I had been in a special class. It made me feel like I was not good enough. In my adult years I felt I could not obtain a job that I could be proud of. I thought that I would not ever follow directions as I had trouble with spelling and reading.
Then one day, while I was working with ESP Consulting, I was told about the PAL program. Around that time PAL co-ordinator Janette Moller walked into ESP and I was introduced to her.
She explained the program to me. I thought about it and finally had the confidence to phone Janette and make an appointment.
Janette said we will help you and I was matched with my tutor Charlene Mansell. We are working on my spelling, reading, and grammar. As a result of Charlene helping me, my confidence is increasing and I feel great when she corrects me.
I now volunteer in the community of Williams Lake and I help other people. I know that the PAL team is there for me. If I can do it you can do it!
