Pandemic has shifted the way FVRD runs its public question period

The 7 p.m. FVRD Board meeting on October 27, is to be conducted both in-person, and through Zoom

As with local governments everywhere, the methods of public participation in Fraser Valley Regional District board meetings have morphed since the pandemic.

The 7 p.m. FVRD Board meeting on October 27, to be conducted both in-person, and through Zoom, is open to the public for questions during question period.

Here is the handy Zoom link. Meeting ID: 852 2317 6731 The public can dial in by telephone too, 1-778-907-2071.

To speak during the virtual public question period, folks can click on the ‘Raise Hand’ feature in the controls. This notifies staff that someone has raised their hand, and they will unmute the microphone.

When prompted enter the meeting ID below for the meeting you wish to join. (Meeting ID: 852 2317 6731)

There is also the option to participate in person, at FVRD board room, at 45950 Cheam Avenue.

Visitors will be screened by an FVRD greeter in accordance with COVID-19 protocols.

Seating in the fourth floor boardroom is limited and on a first-come, first-served basis.
