Parade of Lights 2013

The Parade was a great success despite the chill and many floats came by dispensing candy as they went. Slideshow included.

It was a frosty night in Vanderhoof but the Parade of Lights could not be stopped. Several people were raising money for various charitable projects including one trip to Kenya to build a school and Christmas hampers for needy children.

Many floats came by bearing Santa and his helpers  as well as the three wise men. Both those riding in the floats and those standing on the side of the street braved the minus 28 degree weather with typical Vanderhoofian pride.

Great local crafts and Christmas gifts could be had during Midnight Madness while Swan Kiezebrink on piano and Jacquie McLeod and her sweet voice brought cheer to shoppers in the Co-op Mall.
