Parksville 2020 annual report now ready for public feedback

Documents can be viewed online; comments or questions to be submitted before noon on July 5, 2021

The City of Parksville’s 2020 annual report is now available for the public to view and provide feedback.

The report, which shows a snapshot of goals and accomplishments, also includes reports from the mayor and chief administrative officer, as well as department achievements, permissive tax exemptions and financial statements and information.

Parksville residents who wish to learn more about the city’s activities and finances are invited to view the 2020 annual report, now available on the city’s website.

The annual report includes the following:

• Progress report on the performance of the city compared to established objectives;

• 2020 financial statements and supplemental financial information;

• List of the tax exemptions provided by council, and for each exemption, the amount of property taxes that would have been imposed on the property in 2020 if not exempt;

• Report on municipal services and operations.

Persons who wish to submit a comment or question in writing are asked to do so before noon on Monday, July 5, 2021. Comments can be submitted by email to council@parksville.ca; by mail to council, City of Parksville, PO Box 1390, Parksville V9P 2H3; and in person to 100 Jensen Ave. East, Parksville (8 a.m. to 4 p.m., weekdays).
