Parksville drivers should watch for lane closure on Halloween

Delays expected from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Highway 19A West at Dogwood Street

Parksville Qualicum Beach drivers take note: there will be a lane closure on Oct. 31 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Highway 19A West at Dogwood Street.

The closure for the installation of water main work by Windley Contracting Ltd. will necessitate the closing of the northbound Highway 19A travel lane at the intersection. Two-way traffic will be maintained, with local access to Dogwood Street being available from the intersection at Bay Avenue — west of the construction area.

Traffic control will assist pedestrians and cyclists travel safely through the work area. Drivers are advised to use additional caution and follow all instructions from traffic control. For more information, contact the engineering department at engineering@parksville.ca.
