Kelowna drivers are warned to find another way around this weekend if they normally use Gordon Drive, between Harvey Avenue and north of Bernard Avenue.
From 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Sunday, Gordon Drive will be closed between Harvey and Bernard for road paving.
The city says a detour will be in place.
Due to weather, the previous schedule for resurfacing had to be revised and final paving of Gordon Drive will be completed this weekend, said a news release from city hall Friday.
The project is one of several road segments that are included in the city’s annual pavement management program, which prioritizes the repair of city roads. The “mill and fill” treatment applied on the section of Gordon Drive on Sunday will extend the road surface life by 15 to 20 years, says the city.
