Patient airlifted to hospital in serious condition after dirt bike incident

BCEHS dispatched a helicopter from Parksville to take the patient to hospital

One person has been airlifted to hospital in serious condition after an incident involving a dirt bike in the area of Sterling Road.

BC Emergency Health Services responded to a call at 12:52 p.m. today for a report of a dirt bike incident at the South end of Ladysmith, near Sterling Drive and Hooper Place. BCEHS dispatched a ground ambulance as well as an air ambulance from Parksville.

The Med-Evac helicopter took off from the Davis Road Dog Park around 2 p.m. to transport the patient to hospital.
