A pedestrian is dead after being struck by a semi-truck and another vehicle on the Trans-Canada Highway in Kamloops.
The incident happened at about 4:20 a.m. Monday.
The person was pronounced dead at the scene and Highway 1 was closed for a period of time while the coroner and traffic analyst investigated.
Highway 1 was reopened at about 8 a.m.
Police are working to identify the victim and an investigation into the incident is ongoing.
