A 55-year-old man was seriously injured after being hit while crossing Marshall Road this morning.
Just after 7 a.m., police say they were called after a brown Nissan Sentra collided with a man crossing the road near Cherry Street mid-block.
Police said the man has been taken to hospital with “very serious injuries.” As of Thursday afternoon, there was “a lot more hope than before” that the man would live, according to Const. Ian MacDonald.
The driver of the vehicle remained on scene and is co-operating. Traffic was rerouted as the investigation continues.
Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to contact the APD at 604-859-5225 or text 222973 (abbypd).
