Pedestrian struck by car in Abbotsford: Video update

The elderly woman was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries

A pedestrian who was struck by a car on Saturday evening in Abbotsford was transported to hospital with serious injuries.

Police, fire and ambulance crews were called at about5 9:45 p.m. to Marshall Road near McCallum Road.

A 66-year-old woman with a walker had been crossing in the dark and was not at a marked crosswalk, according to witnesses, when she was struck by a vehicle travelling west.

The driver remained on scene and has been co-operating with police.
