Penticton Indian Band hosting BC Elders Gathering

Thousands of delegates attending the annual BC Elders Gathering hosted by the Penticton Indian Band.

The Penticton Indian Band is hosting the gathering for the first time since 1997 with several thousand people expected to attend the three-day event which runs through Wednesday. A wide range of events are scheduled including a number of workshops, guest speakers, entertainment, a traditional feast and Pow Wow and elders dance and social. Events are taking place at the South Okanagan Events Centre, Penticton Trade and Convention Centre and the Outma Sqilx'w Cultural School.
