The Juan De Fuca Library Branch kicked off the annual Family Literacy Week, on Saturday with Westshore Literacy hosting a Family Learning Tour.
The free event included a story walk and crafts for every member of the family to enjoy. This year’s Family Literacy Week, running from Jan. 26 to Feb. 2 is centered around the theme ‘Let’s Read Together.’
“I encourage all British Columbians to head down to their local library or community centre and take part in the many activities happening throughout the province this week,” said Minister of Education Rob Fleming in a press release.
