Police from RCMP detachments across the region locked-down the Burns Lake Band offices in Burns Lake on April 7, 2013. Approximately 25 marked and unmarked police vehicles arrived on-site at around 11:30 a.m. The situation was peacefully resolved within four hours as community-member protesters agreed to leave the premises, which they had been occupying for almost two weeks.
