The Rick Hansen Relay, celebrating the 25th anniversary of Rick Hansen’s Man in Motion world tour, arrived in Creston on Wednesday afternoon and left on Thursday morning, kicking off the 240th day of the 12,000-kilometre cross-country event.
Morgan Fleck, Smantha Cassel, Phil Thomas, Kaitlyn Zolynsky and Megan Emary carried the Rick Hansen Medal from Prince Charles Secondary School to Creston Town Hall, where Emary passed the medal to endurance athlete Joey Desjardins.
