On April 25, 2014, the City of Pitt Meadows will celebrate 100 years since incorporation.
A year-long list of celebrations is planned and the city hopes to engage residents by forming a centennial celebration committee.
The city has already started applying for grants to fund the celebration.
Staff are still searching for a part-time coordinator to work for up to two years to create and support the celebration committee and engage the community to plan as the city prepares to celebrate this important milestone.
Thus far, $35,000 has been set aside in the 2013 budget to develop a work plan, logo and fund administrative tasks.
