The investigation continues after a small plane crashed into Mount H’Kusam, killing the pilot, last Wednesday.
The man’s name is expected to be released Monday along with further details of the crash.
According to RCMP, the plane was en route from Bellingham, Washington, to Alaska, when it disappeared from the air traffic control radar around 2:30 p.m. on April 27.
The wreckage was found at an elevation of 5,200 feet on the mountainside near Sayward.On Friday, a search and rescue team was able to rappel down to the site and found the deceased pilot, the only person aboard the aircraft.
The BC Coroners service is currently conducting an investigation with assistance from the RCMP and the Transportation Safety Board of Canada.
