Surrey RCMP are urging additional witnesses to a fatal collision in June to come forward to help the investigation.

On June 22, a 2009 black Honda Civic traveling southbound on 152 Street struck and killed a cyclist crossing 86 Avenue. The driver remained at the scene, where investigators were also able to speak with several witnesses, however it’s believed there are more people who saw something who have not yet spoken to police.

On Wednesday, Surrey RCMP released a photograph of the Honda Civic that was involved in what Cpl. Scotty Schumann called a “tragic accident” in hopes that it might help someone remember seeing the car prior to the accident.

“We would like to speak to these people to further our investigation,” he said.

Anyone with more information is asked to contact the Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502 or Crime Stoppers, if they wish to remain anonymous, at 1-800-222-TIPS or www.solvecrime.ca, quoting file #2015-87914.
