One of Kelowna’s new crop of alleged public masturbators has been identified and apprehended.
A 34 year old Kelowna man was taken into custody as a result of the investigation of several reports of indecent acts near Watt Road, On Aug. 8,.
“The man was identified with the help of tips from the public stemming from the release of the suspect photo last month,” said Const. Kris Clark.
“The man has since been released by a Judicial Justice of the Peace (JJP) on an Undertaking for Court on Sept. 10.”
He has been placed on several conditions that restrict his access to certain public areas and prohibit him from being around children under the age of 16.
Due to a publication ban, and to protect the identity of any victims, the man’s name cannot be released at this time.
This was just one of several creeper sightings in the last month.
The most high profile being the YMCA/YWCA incident where a man forced a child to watch as he fondled himself in front of her. Police released a sketch of that man on Wednesday.
